When you think about why you want to start a Business, it can help to ask yourself why you are moving forward on this path.

The first impulse many people have when thinking about starting a business is to say that they hope to make more money. However, when you drill down a little deeper, there’s a good chance that it’s not truly just about the money. Money might help you achieve some of your other goals, but it’s probably not the ultimate reason you decide to start a business. For many of us, money is not the end goal. Instead, it’s what helps us achieve the end goal. Take a look at the why behind your desire for making more money to find the reasons you feel that starting a business is the right path for you to follow.
I like freelancing because it provides me with a great deal of freedom and flexibility in my life. The freedom and flexibility I have as a result of my freelance business allow me the chance to travel. I love that I have the freedom to pursue more of my passions. For me, it’s not about having more money. Instead, it’s more about being able to live my preferred lifestyle in comfort. Freelancing gives me that chance. Pretty much this is the reason why I want to start something by my own.

If you want to make a difference and can see how to do it with a successful business, that’s great. Carefully think about why you want to start a business, and move forward with that as your motivation. When things get tough, having a solid why to hold to (rather than just making money) can help you stick with it.
